Certification of CSUF Academic Documents

Alumni and students may request certification or notarization of their CSUF transcripts, diplomas, and/or verifications to be certified only or notarized. Common reasons include international use, employment, graduate or professional school applications, legal or government requirements, and apostille preparation. 

Note: The CSUF Office of the Registrar does not offer same day services.

Forms are submitted by email and payments can be made online. If you choose to have your documents mailed after processing, delivery times and tracking are outside the control of the CSUF Office of the Registrar. Please plan accordingly when requesting documents for specific deadlines.

Requirements 

The following are required: 

  • Valid government-issued ID 
  • Any one or combination of these, depending on your request: 
    • Transcript Request Form
    • Diploma replacement ordered via Michael Sutter Company (notary service selected) 
    • Verification Request Form 
  • Certification Request Form (required for all requests)

Third-Party Notary Public Contact Information 

The CSUF Office of the Registrar works exclusively with third-party notary publics who travel to our office. Notarization fees are set by the notary public and vary based on the number of signatures and/or documents requiring notarization. We have provided the contact information for a notary public below; however, you may find a mobile notary public of your own.
